New Exploited Children and Gangs – Enhanced course
This enhanced training will provide delegates with the knowledge needed to recognise, understand and respond effectively and compassionately to the risks to children of criminal exploitation.
This training is recommended for any professional working with vulnerable children or young people at risk of exploitation into Gangs and should be undertaken on completion of our Exploited Children and Gangs training.
About the Training
This three day course explores a more in-depth and specialist look at trauma informed working with vulnerable children and young people, at risk of exploitation from gangs.
Aims
This course aims to:
- Provide practitioners with a risk assessment protocol and upskill them to recognise and respond to risk within family homes and community
- To look at protective factors and ways to resolve issues and reduce risks that could lead to exploitation
- To introduce the ecological nesting model of trauma and exploited children
- Explore how trauma disguises itself and the impact for children at risk of exploitation and their parents/carers
- Explore how practitioners protect themselves to survive challenging individuals and environments and look at ways to address this
Outcomes
This courses aims to:
- Practitioners will gain a risk assessment protocol will be upskilled to recognise and respond to risk within family homes and community
- Practitioners will be able to recall ways to resolve issues and reduce risks that could lead to exploitation

Cancellation Policy
The customer may cancel a training course provided that written notice is given to the supplier at least 28 days before the first training date.
If the notice to cancel is provided less than 28 days before the first training date, no refund will be made to the customer.
If the notice to cancel is provided more than 28 days before the first training date, 100% of the charges will be refunded to the customer.
